About the race
The Dubai Turf, sponsored by DP World, is staged by Dubai Racing Club at Meydan Racecourse as Race 7 on Dubai World Cup day. The club’s 2026-27 condition book lists it as a Group 1 over 1800m on turf, by invitation only, for four-year-olds and upwards and Southern Hemisphere three-year-olds, with a 2kg allowance for fillies and mares and prize money of USD 5,000,000. The 2027 running is on Saturday 27 March 2027.
The IFHA ranked the Dubai Turf 20th in the world for 2025, with a race rating of 120.50. On 28 March 2026 Ombudsman won for Godolphin, ridden by William Buick and trained by John and Thady Gosden, with Quddwah second and Andreas Vesalius third in an 11-runner field. Dubai Racing Club noted that John Gosden had won three consecutive runnings with Lord North between 2021 and 2023.
