About the race

The LONGINES Hong Kong Mile is run over 1600m on turf at Sha Tin on the second Sunday in December as part of the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races, staged by The Hong Kong Jockey Club. It is open to three-year-olds and upwards, including overseas entries, and the 2026 running on 13 December carries HK$36 million. The race was inaugurated in 1991 as the Hong Kong Invitation Bowl over 1400m, to mark Hong Kong’s staging of that year’s Asian Racing Conference. It took its current name in 1999 and became an international Group 1 in 2000.

The 2025 running on 14 December, worth HK$36 million, was won by Voyage Bubble, ridden by Zac Purton and trained by Ricky Yiu, with Soul Rush second and Red Lion third. HKJC past results show Voyage Bubble also won the race in 2024.
