What happens next

1. An editor reads it. Every submission goes into the desk’s queue. Nothing is published automatically.
2. We check it. We confirm the sender against the organisation and read the original document.
3. We edit it. Announcements are cut for length, put into house style and published with an “Organisation announcement” label and a link to the original.
4. It joins the profile. If the organisation, race, venue or supplier is in the Directory, the story appears on its profile.

What we publish

• Results, sales figures, registrations and statistics, with the period they cover and the method.
• New racecourses, training centres, studs, venues and investments, with location, scale and dates.
• Senior appointments at racing bodies, studs, federations, kennel clubs, practices and suppliers.
• Products and services for yards, studs, kennels and vets. For medicines, vaccines, feeds and devices, link the regulator’s decision, the paper or the filing and state the approval status.
• Rule changes, consultations and regulatory decisions, linked to the official document.

What we do not publish

• Betting tips, odds or betting promotions.
• Clinical or efficacy claims without the regulator’s decision, a peer-reviewed paper or a filing.
• Consumer offers and competitions.
• Text with no named source or no way to check it.
• Awards that are paid for.

Publication is free and at the editor’s discretion. Advertising does not buy coverage, and a listing in the Directory is not required.
