About the race

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes is a six-furlong (1,200 metres) sprint on turf for four-year-olds and upwards, run on the Saturday, the final day of Royal Ascot. Ascot says it was first run in 1868 as the Cork and Orrery Stakes, was renamed the Golden Jubilee Stakes and raised to Group 1 in 2002, and took its present name in 2023 in memory of Queen Elizabeth II. Ascot puts its value at £1 million. The next running is on Saturday 19 June 2027.

On 21 June 2025 Lazzat won for Wathnan Racing, trainer Jerome Reynier and jockey James Doyle, holding off the Japanese runner Satono Reve and giving Reynier his first Royal Ascot winner, according to Ascot. In 2026 Almeraq won for William Haggas, Tom Marquand and Shadwell Estate Company Ltd, again with Satono Reve second.
